About Us > Committees > Young Members

Overview:

The CUPE Local 500 Young Members Committee was founded in the spring of 2003. Our Committee is made up of a group of young members (30 years and under) from the various units and affiliates of Local 500.

What do we do?

The main goal of the committee is to educate ourselves and others about issues relevant to young workers. It’s also an opportunity for young people to take an active role in building our union. This committee also coordinates education initiatives and social activities with an emphasis on getting more young workers involved in our union.

When does the committee meet?

The Committee meets at the call of the chair. Watch for further notices of meetings and events on this page. Everyone is welcome to attend.

If you have any questions or comments for any of our committee members, you can email us at union@cupe500.mb.ca
