Steward Orientation Training - February 15, 2012
A Shop Steward Orientation Training Session will be held
on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the Union
Centre. This is a brief introduction to the job of a union steward
and to the structure of our Local. Please contact the Local 500 office
at 942-1001 to register for this session.

Local 500 committees looking for new members
Local 500 has a number of standing committees that deal with important
issues related to our union. These committees help to serve an important
function of the Local - they allow for members to become engaged with
the union. Many members start as committee members before moving to a
steward or executive position.

in Manitoba, came together on January 16 – 18 to discuss and identify
CUPE's bargaining priorities for the upcoming round of negotiations.
