LOCAL 500 MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS AND RATIFICATION VOTE ON TENTATIVE AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF WINNIPEG - BULLETIN #17

On June 13, 2017, a tentative agreement was reached between CUPE Local 500 and the City of Winnipeg.  The Union’s Negotiating Committee is recommending that the members ACCEPT the settlement.

All CUPE members working at the City of Winnipeg are eligible to vote, and are encouraged to attend one of the three scheduled information meetings listed below.  During the meetings, the Union’s Negotiating Committee will explain the City’s tentative settlement offer and answer your questions.

Members will also receive a card in the mall detailing the meeting and voting information.  If you do not receive a card, it may mean that we do not have your correct mailing information and you should contact the Local 500 office to update your contact information.

MEETINGS:  WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 2017

9:00 a.m. (to accommodate shift workers)
and at 12:00 Noon or 6:00 pm

VOTING:  THURSDAY, JUNE 29, 2017

7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Can I get copies of the tentative agreement before the meetings and voting?

Full details of the offer will be released at the information meetings on June 28th.  However, members who are unable to attend the meetings may pick up an information package at the Union Centre (7th Floor – 275 Broadway) any time after 9:00 a.m. on June 28th.
