Local 500 launches more billboard and bus ads

Billboard and bus ads promoting quality public services have gone up this week in the city as part of the Local's "Positively Public" campaign. "These ads are meant to raise public awareness about the importance of quality public services to our community," says CUPE Local 500 President Mike Davidson. "Our members live and work in the community and help to ensure the delivery of high quality services to Winnipeg residents everyday."

Has your workplace been visited?

Since the beginning of the year, CUPE members working in 37 different worksites have been visited by Local 500 President Mike Davidson and other union representatives. The purpose of a workplace visit is to communicate with you and discuss the key issues facing your workplace and our union. Meetings can be held before or after work or during the lunch hour. To request a vist, please contact the Local 500 office at 942-1001.
