October 7, 2009Davidson and Barron elected to National Executive BoardLocal 500 President Mike Davidson was elected today to the position of Regional Vice-President for Manitoba on CUPE's National Executive Board. Also elected for a second term as the Diversity Vice-President was Brian Barron, 1st Vice-President of the Local. The National Executive Board makes decisions on behalf of CUPE members in between conventions. Its members are elected by CUPE members at CUPE's biennial national conventions. October 4, 2009CUPE National Convention October 4 - 9More than 2,588 delegates, alternates, staff and guests will be in Montréal starting Oct. 4 for CUPE's National Convention. You can follow it here.
