Members at Assiniboine Park Conservancy ratify first agreement

November 23, 2011 at 9:22 PM

On November 22, 2011, CUPE Local 500 members voted 97% in favour of their first collective agreement with the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.

The four-year agreement provides for a 1 per cent wage increase effective October 1, 2011, followed by a 0.5 per cent increase on January 1, 2012. Workers will also receive a 2 per cent pay increase on January 1, 2013 and 2.5 per cent on January 1, 2014.

In addition, both parties have agreed that the pension plan, benefits, vacation and job security provisions would remain the same as previously negotiated in the City of Winnipeg agreement.

Your Negotiating Committee would like to thank all the members for your continued support throughout the bargaining process and will remain available to answer any questions you may have regarding this first agreement.

In Solidarity,

Your Negotiating Committee
