CUPE Local 500/City of Winnipeg - Bargaining Update #32

September 29, 2022 at 7:28 PM

Since our last update, your bargaining committee is still in active discussions with the conciliator in an effort to reach an agreement with the employer.

Your bargaining committee is committed to keeping you updated as events unfold. As always, we will advise you when a tentative agreement has been achieved or the two parties have reached an impasse.

We know and appreciate that members have been extremely patient over the past eighteen months of negotiations. Our main goal remains to get the best deal possible that is both fair and respectful to you, our members.

We will have another update for you next week. In the meantime, we will be continuing with our strike preparations.

if you have not signed up for picket duty, you can contact the strike committee by email at: cupe500strike@gmail.com or you can visit the strike headquarters at 1500 Portage Avenue, Monday – Friday, between 9:30 am – 3:00 pm to register.

Members who still need to complete their strike pay form can do this online or you can contact the strike headquarters to receive a hard copy of the application.

The contact number for the Strike Headquarters is 204-221-6531.
